Concert Review! posted by Dominick on 10-07-2006 18:46

Okay so here's my concert review from yesterday!

I started my trip out to Philly once again later then I'm used to - seeing as it's a seated concert, camping out is not needed. I was still amazingly early and was the 3rd person there. I was hanging out with the 2 girls and their friends the entire night, so it was fine that I went alone - atleast people were nice

So about 2-3 hours went by and Nick arrived. The girls were so intense on meeting him, but when he got out and said Hi - they all froze and said nothing Luckily Nick's bodyguard was nice and said he'd try to get Nick back out for pics. Now here's where my mistake came in. At this time I went to move my car. I parked at a Church thinking who would tow me from a Holy place ... how wrong that was. Anyway when I came back I found out his bodyguard gave them all passes for backstage and since they were in too much shock they forgot their male friend Anyway I talked to him and he said he'd hook me up - so it ended up working out anyway.

Back on the street for another few hours .. I ended up running into Miss Miriello She was feeling sick but she's a trooper!

*FAST FORWARD TO SHOW*

As I was walking in, I noticed a certain few people ... maybe you know them from Real World .. Melinda and John! So knowing Melinda as the hottest person to ever hit Real World .. I got my pic with her *Also in pic section* Anyway .. to the show.

Okay so I had an amazing seat to begin with. Third Row center right on the aisle. However - my seat was covered in a Caution banner ... that wasn't good. So the ticket lady was like ... hmm .. and she pulled me up to front center! Amie and the band came out and she started playing guitar which was FANTASTIC!!!! I loved the new song they sang - I almost pee'd myself *Note back to pissing girl from Albany * Anyway 2 seconds later I got a phone call that I was supposed to be going backstage. That blew since I only saw one DB song in my front seat. Anyway .. as I was walking over I was walking in front of the stage and I got in trouble for that even tho there was nothing I could do about it. I ended up being able to watch the show first from the side. Sadly my pictures aren't too good because of it.

So Dirite Blonde had a killer set and even tho I was on the side I was standing and it gave me flashbacks of the Dirtie Teddy tour! After they left the stage I fought with security over letting me backstage. They lost So I went down as Nick's crew was watching some football game. I had Nick sign some stuff for me ... PICTURE. I should have taken a pic with him, but it was an awkward moment so I skipped that. Anyway, I was told Joanna was taking the stage and I didn't want to miss it. So I headed up and watched her set. I personally think her voice track was way too loud. They want her concert to sound like the CD, but I liked her better without it. Anyway she sang 4th of July without music and so that was BRILLIANT and I had chills all the way up my body. She wore black and so my camera messed with all of the pics of her ... I had to solve that problem.

After her set was over I went back again to see her Thats the new myspace pic I added. She was nice - and I found out she's in her early 20's ... that was a shocker.

Anyway Fast Forward ...

The lights blacked out and everyone rushed the stage. This was one thing I liked about the venue. Security didn't give 2 shits about it! Once again front and center staring up Nick's nose ...Good pics tho He was good .. sang a couple of 98 degree songs again. Not much to say.

Fast Forward!

Okay so after the show I gave Timmy his birthday card that a bunch of his fans signed for him. PICTURE. He insisted on signing it He thought it was amazing that we actually thought of him, so thanks to everyone who signed! Jen and Lisa then called me to talk to Timmy - mistake! Jen never said a word . .she hyperventilated and left the conversation to Lisa. Anyway enough of that ... I then talked to Amie and she tried having me do some funky pose that just wasn't working out Thats the new default photo. She looks freaking amazing of course .. I just dont.

So anyway .. that's my review. Enjoy!

Street Teamers! posted by Dominick on 09-27-2006 09:27

Hey hey hey Dirtie Blonde fans!

As much as I love travelling around the country to any DB show I can get to - one person cannot do it all! I am currently expanding the Dirtie Blonde Street Team as much as I can so you too can join in!

A key is communication, so in order to organize the Street Team and keep track of members, I have created a SIMPLE FORM. All you need to do is fill out this form and you will be a proud member of our Street Team mailing list!

We are also trying to get as many new fans as we can - so I have put together a Street Team myspace! CLICK HERE to view our profile! Make sure to add us as a friend!

I am hoping to expand the fanbase as much as I can and over the next several weeks there will be alot of action going on! We will be hosting a contest where you can win Dirtie Blonde's hit album 'Walk Over Me' autographed by the band! So you want to stick around!

More to come!

Back on Tour! posted by Dominick on 09-20-2006 23:22

Two words .... THANK GOD!

This tour is quite a bit different from what we are used to from the Dirtie Teddy tour. For one - seating? What the hell's up with that?! From now on we are going to need to get some butts outta the seats and screaming like we are used to!

There is one plus to having a seated concert - no camping outside the venue! For the first time, I was able to leave my house around 11 (instead of 4am )! I arrived at 2ish and parked the car in the first spot I found. As I was walking up Clinton Avenue - I found nothing suspicious other than the fact Nick needed 4 tour busses and an 18 wheeler tractor trailer! Continuing down the road - I saw some people... no one that looked familiar - just a brown-haired girl. Then all of a sudden ... BAM! The girl turns around and out of nowhere it's Amie! *VIEW PICTURE*Fresh new style for a fresh new tour! For anyone that has been living under a rock for the past several months - *Amie isn't a blonde - so this is actually putting her hair back to the norm* Anyway - I think she looks amazing and she has it pulled off! As I stood there reuniting after 26 days (yes DB ... you left me for 26 days ...) - I picked up the vibe everyone is excited to get back out on tour - and I'm just as ready

So now I realized I had 4 hours to spare ... not as bad as the 12 hours I'm used to ... but it wasn't the warmest of days that's for sure.

*Fast forward*

Bam ... Row AA! (yea - it doesn't get much closer ) Sadly I found out that being in that seat had a downside or 2. Crazed and intoxicated girls decided they would lovvvvve to sneak into the seats next to me. Drama occurred throughout the whole show - one girl even pee'd on the floor in the chair next to me (*Note to girls* - Marking territory may work for dogs - but it will not help you claim seatage at The Palace *End Note*) Anyway - Dirtie Blonde ROCKED! Downside #2 - Security. For some reason I must have looked like a terrorist... As I walked in the door - Security wanted to take my camera because it looked too much like one used by Press. (I use a Fujifilm S3000 or a Minolta Dimage Z1 - today I used the Fujifilm) No offense to the guy at the door - but you can never confuse a Fujifilm S3000 to a professional camera. Secondly - being in front of the stage - I was right infront of a security guard - meaning when he says "No Flash *even when 9 billion flashes are going off around me* - he meant no flash. So pictures were a bit harder to take. My camera needs flash to stablize and I need pictures to be stable - therefore - Concert Rule #1 - TAKE PICS ANYWAY! ... But back to the topic - Dirtie Blonde rocked and I have some pretty *illegal* rockin' photos to go along with it!

After DB left the stage - a few more intoxicated girls took the spotlight. Thanks to some manager dude named George - it was like watching Pay Per View Then once again the lights went out and some girl named Joanna came on stage. I wasn't expecting much because I had never heard of her. After continuing the Teddy tour once DB was off - I had come to realize that not all bands are created equal - DB set such a high standard for me I expected it to be matched . But surprisingly and thankfully ... this *some girl* was AMAZING! I don't know how old Joanna is - but she doesn't seem to be older than 18 ( but it's possible she is cause I have terrible judgement ) - and lets just say ... She has pipes working in her favor. So yes - this tour is definitely worth the ticket price! You have DB which is worth the price in itself + an amazing upcoming artist + the Lachey himself.

*Fast Forward*

MEET AND GREET!! Gotta love the meet and greets! So get this - you pay for a ticket ... you get to see one hell of an amazing lineup ... THEN YOU GET TO MEET THEM! What's wrong with you?! YOU NEED TO GET TO A SHOW OR TWO OR ALL OF THEM!

After all that *and I'll skip the 3 hour drive home* - this leads me to where I am sitting now. So for a mere $29.50 ... you have a day's worth of crazy adventures! Now I know what you want and I saved them for last - I'm just sorry the pictures aren't as amazing as usual... between the flash issue and lighting ... but here they are!

CONCERT PICTURES!

ENJOY!

Dirtie Blonde's Official Update posted by Dominick on 09-01-2006 15:27

Hey everybody! By now a lot of you have noticed that we will not be opening for Teddy on the last few shows we had scheduled with him (from tomorrow [Sept. 2] in Atlantic City on). Between our business management team and ourselves, it was decided that we needed to take this time off to prepare for the Nick Lachey tour that starts in just a few weeks.

We would much, much, MUCH prefer to hang with all of you who had planned to come see us with Teddy over the next few days, but unfortunately it's just not possible. However, we cannot wait to get out on the road with Nick and his band -- he's actually incredible live and his band kicks ass -- and don't forget that Geffen Records' Joanna is first on the bill, so we're excited to be out with her as well.

Many of you have written in asking if we'll still be doing meet-and-greets at these bigger venues, and the answer is definitely yes, every single time we possibly can. Sometimes the venues are weird, but we will do everything we can to make ourselves available...the only difference is that we'll be hanging out at the merchandise booth between our set and Nick's rather than at the very end of the night.

So, thanks so much for your understanding, everybody. We're so excited to see you all on the Nick tour, and if we aren't scheduled to play your town yet, STAY TUNED...we hear there could be more dates announced very soon.

Thank you all so much for the support -- every day we feel it, and we love you for it! See you out there.....

Love,
Amie, Jay, Sean, Dean & Timmy

DB Tour Updates posted by Dominick on 08-30-2006 18:41

As of now, the Dirtie Teddy tour has come to an end. This is very sudden and I am not sure what exactly has happened or if this is just some big misunderstanding. I have sent messages to all of the necessary people, and will update you as soon as I know something.

-Dominick

UPDATE: These changes are correct. The promotional aspect of the upcoming Lachey tour has conflicted with the final dates of the Teddy tour. For those of you still attending the Teddy concerts can look forward to Alex Ray Joel (Billy Joel's daughter) as the opening act.
